The Project Director leads the successful delivery of all framework‑level commitments, ensuring world‑class performance in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSE&Q), commercial control, and overall project outcomes. This role is central to shaping strategy, driving continuous improvement, and maximising the capabilities of the Key Delivery Partner to serve the overarching interests of the programme.
Acting as the primary interface across partners and stakeholders, the Project Director provides forward‑looking leadership, sets behavioural expectations, and ensures that delivery teams operate with professionalism, accountability, and a “best‑for‑project” mindset.
Leadership & Culture
- Lead by example, setting high behavioural standards and promoting a strong “best for project” ethos.
- Foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture, ensuring lessons learned and best practices are embedded across the team.
- Set the tone for professionalism, ensuring PPP principles and nuclear standards are consistently upheld.
Strategic Direction & Delivery
- Provide strategic oversight and forward planning to optimise the performance of the Key Delivery Partner.
- Ensure all framework deliverables meet expectations for quality, value for money, and commercial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, behaviours, and delivery outcomes.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Liaise effectively with peer delivery partner leads, functional heads, and client teams.
- Represent the Key Delivery Partner at senior forums, ensuring alignment and collaborative decision‑making.
- Balance competing priorities and reach sensible, pragmatic compromise positions when required.
Governance, Compliance & Commercial Control
- Maintain accountability for decisions made within the Key Delivery Partner organisation.
- Ensure robust commercial control, profitability, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Support and oversee major EPC project delivery within a regulated environment.
