The Planning Manager play a key role in supporting major projects and framework agreements across the organisation. In this position, you will lead a team of planners responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining schedules for a wide range of projects, studies, and programmes. Your work ensures that project timelines are realistic, aligned with resource availability, and delivered within agreed time and budget constraints.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Proposals, Project Managers, and Engineering Discipline Leads to ensure upcoming work and scope changes are accurately reflected in sector resource histograms.
  • Lead the production of plans for tenders and proposals.
  • Manage the planning team to deliver cross-sector histogram outputs that support effective resource allocation.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of project schedules, including critical paths, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate schedule feasibility.
  • Track project progress, ensuring alignment with budget and timeline expectations.
  • Identify risks to schedule performance and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate schedule updates clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prepare and present schedule status reports, including S‑curves, productivity metrics, earned value analysis, and schedule performance indicators.
