The Business Unit Director - SIP is responsible for leading and overseeing SIP (Scaffolding, Insulation, and Painting) operations. This senior leadership role requires a self‑driven individual with extensive experience managing high‑profile, complex SIP projects, and the capability to guide teams, oversee work programmes, manage risk, and engage confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for scaffold, insulation, and painting (SIP) activities across the business unit.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure delivery meets project, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Ensure all activities align with company policies, operational guidelines, and industry standards.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business unit objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and innovation within the business unit.
  • Implement strategies to enhance productivity, operational performance, and commercial outcomes.

Team Leadership & Engagement

  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams to drive high levels of engagement and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear direction and support to managers and supervisors across SIP disciplines.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage budgets, resources, and operational costs to meet financial targets.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify and address risks, issues, and opportunities affecting business performance.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the business unit in meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions.
  • Ensure client expectations are met through effective communication and delivery excellence.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Analyse operational data and metrics to produce reports and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
