Apprentice Coordinators support apprentices across a range of programmes, helping them maximise their performance and progress toward timely completion. The role covers the full apprentice journey—from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA)—and involves coordinating day‑to‑day apprentice activity on site to ensure effective development, support, and engagement.
You will work closely with apprentices, training providers, internal stakeholders, and the wider Learning & Development team to monitor progress, address development needs, and ensure apprentices have the resources and guidance required to succeed.
Apprentice Support & Development
- Support apprentices in completing portfolios and gathering evidence, setting clear targets to ensure timely progress toward EPA.
- Manage day‑to‑day apprentice activity, including coordinating review meetings and monitoring development needs.
- Identify individual support requirements and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
- Provide pastoral support where possible, signposting apprentices to specialist services when needed.
Programme Coordination
- Coordinate all elements of the apprenticeship programme to maximise apprentice success.
- Conduct effective progress reviews, identifying training needs through skills and knowledge gap analysis.
- Develop and implement individual training plans and placement schedules aligned with apprenticeship standards.
- Ensure apprentices have the necessary resources both on site and at college.
Monitoring, Reporting & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress, including E‑Portfolios and training documentation.
- Monitor progress regularly and ensure all completed training certificates are uploaded to the learning management system and E‑Portfolios.
- Produce clear reports, KPIs, and updates as required.
- Liaise with partner organisations and training providers to track progress and resolve issues.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Contribute to ensuring all relevant health and safety procedures are followed by apprentices.
- Report any concerns promptly and support the creation of a safe working environment.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Engagement & Programme Development
- Support the design and delivery of effective apprentice induction programmes.
- Build strong relationships with training providers to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Assist the L&D Manager in sourcing appropriate apprenticeship programmes.
- Represent the organisation at recruitment and networking events to promote apprenticeship schemes.
